A two-days workshop on Python Libraries was organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology (MBSCET) on 18th and 19th May 2026 for the students of CSE 4th Semester. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ practical understanding of important Python libraries used in programming and application development.

The workshop primarily focused on NumPy, Pandas, and Tkinter, providing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. The session was conducted by Mr. Balbir Singh, Director, Techno Solutions, Jammu, who guided the students through the fundamentals and applications of these libraries. He explained the basic concepts and demonstrated how to effectively use these libraries, helping students to understand their practical use in programming and real-world applications.

The workshop remained highly engaging and allowing students to actively participate and interactive with the speaker. The students were benefited from the workshop, gaining practical skills and confidence in using Python libraries for data analysis and graphical user interface development.

Dr. Amrik Singh (Principal) in his address encouraged the students to make practical use of the knowledge gained from the workshop and emphasized the importance of applying these skills to develop innovative applications that would be beneficial for their future careers. Prof. Praveen Singh (Dean Academics) also motivated the students by informing them about internship opportunities available through the college and also encourage them to gain further practical experience.

The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony graced by the esteemed presence of the Prof. (Dr.) Amrik Singh (Principal), Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh (Administrator), Prof. Praveen Singh (Dean Academics), and H.S. Gill (Director of Student Welfare).

The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Jasmeen Kaur, HOD, CSE. The workshop was coordinated by, Ms. Ridhika Sharma and Ms. Kiranpal Kaur Assistant Professor CSE Department, whose efforts ensured the successful culmination and smooth conduct of the workshop.
