Admission for B.Tech Four Year Degree Course

Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology has been conceived and established as a MINORITY INSTITUTION with approved sanctioned intake of 330 students. The Institution admits students in various courses sanctioned by AICTE in two quotas of equal weightage i.e. 165 students in Government of J&K quota and 165 in Minority quota.

  1. For filling up 165 seats against Government Quota, the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), J&K announces a detailed programme through its Information Brochure and related notifications for the conduct of Common Entrance Test. On the basis of merit in Common Entrance Test, BOPEE allocates institutions & disciplines to the selected candidates. Candidate should seek instructions from BOPEE regarding their selection in MBSCET and decision of BOPEE is binding on the candidates.
  2. 165 seats reserved for sikh candidates are designated as the minority quota seats. For admission against these seats, sikh candidates are required to appear separately for MBS Special Common Entrance Test (SCET) which is to be conducted by Chairman, Constitutional Permanent Supervisory and Monitoring Committee. All the eligible Sikh candidates will have to apply for admission to MBSCET against MINORITY seats separately. The candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of their merit in SCET and selected candidate will be allotted discipline during the counseling sessions at MBSCET for which separate notification will be issued by the College authorities after the declaration of results of SCET.
