A two-days workshop on “Tech Talk: Career & AI Readiness” was organized by CSE Department at Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology (MBSCET) on 20th and 21st May 2026 for the students. The workshop aimed to guide students in building strong career foundations and preparing them for the rapidly evolving technology-driven professional world.

Ms. Jasmeen Kaur (HOD CSE), welcomed the distinguished speakers and briefed the students about the objectives and significance of the Tech Talk.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. Shubam Jasrotia, Senior Executive Data Science, and Er. Pavneet Kaur, Lead Expert Data Analyst, from Winnovation Services Pvt. Ltd. who shared valuable insights and practical knowledge with the students.

On the first day, the focus was on personal branding, career communication, and professional development. Students were guided on how to build an effective resume and create a strong and professional LinkedIn profile to improve their career opportunities and professional presence. It also covered various career pathways in the technology field, including Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Cybersecurity, and Software Development.

On the second day, focused on Artificial Intelligence readiness and the effective use of AI tools. They were introduced to Prompt Engineering through which the AI platforms and AI tools can be efficiently used. They emphasized three key elements for writing effective prompts: Role, Context, and Output, helping students understand how to communicate clearly with AI tools to receive accurate and relevant responses.

The workshop was highly interactive and informative, encouraged active student’s participation and discussion throughout both days. The sessions provided practical knowledge and valuable career guidance, helping students to gain clarity about future opportunities and growing importance of AI in modern workplaces.

The workshop was successfully coordinated by Ms. Dilpreet Kour and Ms. Saravjeet Kour, Assistant Professors, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, whose dedicated efforts and guidance ensured the smooth organization and successful execution of the event.
