Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu, organized the Induction Programme for the newly admitted first-year students of the 2025 batch on 24th September 2025 in the college auditorium.
The programme commenced with the presentation of a bouquet to His Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh Ji (Sole Trustee) by the Chairman, followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp by His Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh Ji, S. Gurnam Singh (Chairman), S. Lakhbir Singh Bawa (Advisor), Dr. Nitin Ghawghawe (Principal), Prof. (Dr.) Amrik Singh (Vice Principal), and Prof. Parveen Singh (Dean Academics).
The formal session began with the address of Dr. Nitin Ghawghawe, who presented the college history along with achievement of the college over the years and elaborated the future plans for the upliftment of the college. He further motivated the students to pursue their passion for engineering with dedication and devotion and also exhorted parents to monitor the progress of their wards.
This was followed by Prof. (Dr.) Amrik Singh presentation, who highlighted the college infrastructure, with departmental facilities and scope of engineering in the discipline opted by the students and apprised them about importance of being Engineer.
Prof. Parveen Singh, in his presentation explained the course curriculum, academic policies, and evaluation process as per the rules and regulations of the University of Jammu.
Mr. M.K. Wali in his address apprised the students to remain regular and maintain their academic performance for achieving the desired academic goals.
Gurnam Singh in his address shared his vision for the institution and emphasized the commitment of MBSCET towards providing a conducive environment for the holistic growth and development of students. He also advised the parent to remain in close contact of the concerned teachers to know the academic status of their wards from time to time.
The session concluded with the blessings and guidance from His Holiness Srimaan Mahant Manjit Singh Ji. He emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and focused study for students. He reminded them that success in engineering and life comes from consistent effort, self-discipline, and commitment to their goals. He encouraged students to prioritize their education and strive to meet the expectations of their parents and the institution.
Dignitary present were Prof. Anmol Singh (Chairman SMSCE), Prof Hardev Singh, Mr. Bhupinder Singh (Chairman GHKPS) and Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Badyal (Ex-Principal MBSCET). Other namely H.S. Gill (DSW), Prof. Abhijit Saini (HOD Mechanical), Dr. Ajay Damral (HOD EE), Mr. Mandeep Singh (HOD Civil), Dr. Sanjeev Singh (T&P Officer), Mr. Ishpal Singh (Prof. of Practice) and faculty members were also present.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Sarbjeet Kour (HoD APSH) and Ms. Jasmine Kaur (Asst. Prof APSH Department), along with the faculty members of the departments. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Sarbjeet Kour. The event was ably compared by Ms. Shalini Sharma (Asst. Prof. ECE Deptt).
