MBS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY ORGANISED TALENT HUNT COMPETITION

Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities (APSH) of MBSCET under the patronage of Prof. Sarbjeet Kour HoD APSH (Convener CSA)organised Talent Hunt competition for first semester students. Chairman of the college, Dr. Amar Singh Sudan was the Cheif guest where as Dr. D. S. Pundhir (Principal MBSCET) and Sardar Lakhbir Singh Bawa(Advisor MBSCET ) were the guest of honour . Dr. Amrik Singh(Vice Principal) Prof. Parveen Singh(Dean academics ) and Sardar H. S. Gill (Director students welfare)special guests on the occasion. Prof. Shalini, HoD ECE department, Prof. Surinder Kour Bali, HoD IT department and H. S. Gill were the jury members. The event began with
the lighting of lamp followed by colorfull performances of first semester students. The students participated in different categories namely poster making, painting, rangoli making, best out of waste, dancing, singing etc. The other faculty members present on the occasion include Prof. Jasmine Kour, Prof. Sudesh Kumari, Prof. Natesh Kumar, Dr. Deepshikha Verma, Dr. Sehar Shakeel Raina and Prof. Sugandha Sharma. The event concluded with the prize distribution. All the guests appreciated the efforts of the students and encourage them to participate in such events in the furture also.

Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology (MBSCET) conducted a Technology Webinar on “Digital Disruption 3.0 – Scope & Opportunities”, in association with Winnovation Education Services Pvt. Ltd. – a pioneer Breakthrough Technology Education Services Company.

Webinar started with a Welcome Address by Prof. Ravinder Bhardwaj – T&P Cell Incharge, MBSCET.

Sarbarinder Singh – Director – Winnovation Education Services in his Inaugural Address spoke about the importance of Digital Disruption and its need to become the next BIG THING and not just staying relevant.

Ravinder Pal Singh – a Senior Technology Business Leader, Consultant and Evangelist in Digital Transformation was the Speaker in the Webinar.

Mr. Singh is the Founder and CEO of Merkado RHA Technology Pvt, Ltd. and Gokaddal Technologies (Dubai). With 25 years of Industry experience and handling Leadership Positions in Giants like Cisco, Dell and Wipro, Mr. Singh emphasized on the importance of Skills in Emerging Technologies for Students. Citing examples from Live Industry scenario – Digital Disruption and Career opportunities arising out of it were well explained.

Mr. Singh offered Internships to the Students and encouraged them for Technology Start Ups and ensured Seed Funding to relevant Start Up ideas.

Winnovation Education Services Pvt Ltd , A  very well know and Reputed Gurgaon Based Company  with 360^o Train to Hire Process Engine conducted the workshop . Students and Faculty went through the latest Employability Opportunities, Jobs available in Industry and Train to Hire process for placement of Students. The 360^o Corporate Employability Program by Winnovation will be Implemented at MBSCET ensuring Trainings, Industrial Visits, Personality Development, Interview Skills, Emerging Technology Certifications Like IOT, Renewable Energy, Big Data Analytics, Cyber Security, BlockChain, Cloud Computing. Two Experts from Industry Mr. Deepnashu Rathore from Yatra.com and Mr. Dinesh Kumar from SOTI India gave a lecture to the students on latest technology trends and Job opportunities in the Market. Mr. Deepanshu Rathore conducted a two day workshop on JAVA from 19^th November to 20^th November 2019 and explained its usage. He explained about the working style of Full Stack Java Expert and guide students for their development as an expert in JAVA. This Program is Designed By Industry, Delivered by Industry Professionals, Delivered at Campus of college. It is a 360 ^o Holistic Train to Hire Placement Ecosystem and students Joining the Program. This is a new initiative and first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir for benefit of Students.

Students will now get exposure to Experiential LEARNING and Industry Collaboration right from the day they join the college. Mr. Sarbarinder  Singh -Director Winnovation started this event.In a landmark decision MBSCET and Winnovation has collaborated with a Long term Strategic MOU for Industry Collaboration , Setting up a Industry  Excellence Center, Bringing Placement assistance and delivering  Industry Oriented programs at College Campus.

Prof. Amrik Singh(Vice Principal) in his conclusion of the workshop program highlighted the Digital Age Technology and employment opportunities for MBSCET students and emphasized on the benefits of Industry backed Train to hire program.
